Artisan Harvest, a bakery specializing in European-style pastries and breads, is celebrating its grand opening during "The Joy of Cookies" tour this weekend in Lawrenceville. The annual tour -- a free event to welcome visitors to businesses along or in the vicinity of Butler Street -- takes place from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

Artisan Harvest, 5227 Butler St., is co-owned by architect Paul Graf and his wife, interior designer Judy Koegler Graf. The couple renovated an 1898 building -- formerly Frank's Bakery -- to preserve as many original materials as possible.

Products include bagels, challah, English muffins, olive bread and babka, as well as seasonal breads such as hot cross buns. The Grafs will take time off in January to finish architectural work, then reopen the bakery with regular business hours. The couple is exploring whether to serve soups and sandwiches next year.

The grand opening is from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday. Holiday hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays, 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays. On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, the bakery is open from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Closed Dec. 27 and 28.
