Rich in History... The building was built in 1898 and was purchased by Frank Tereszkiewicz in the early 1940’s, when he came to the United States from Poland. He opened Frank’s Bakery in Lawrenceville, producing products with Polish influence. After his death, his children continued the business until 1992. Paul Graf, an architect who loves to cook and bake, along with his wife, Judy Koegler Graf, a prominent interior designer, bought the building in 2000 and began the process of transformation. Having an eye for detail, the couple fell in love with the architectural features and preserved as many original materials as possible. They designed and built the storefront and retail space to enhance the existing elements. |

Our Story |
|
Why a bakery? Food memories are powerful ones that evoke conversations, months, sometimes years later. Many of these good recollections are associated with the bakeshops, which once were a staple in the community and sadly have disappeared.
We want to celebrate the legacy of the neighborhood bakeshop! The best of the bakeries have always mirrored the personalities of their passionate and often time colorful owners. Artisan Harvest is no exception! The concept derived as a direct reflection of the owner’s interests. Most importantly, both believe that the Lawrenceville and surrounding communities have a need for a good bakery.
Artisan Harvest is a unique destination, blending pastries, breads, coffees and teas with seasonal items and retail merchandise.
Why Artisan Harvest? By trade we are artisans and the products produced in this bakery are all high quality, handmade with the finest ingredients. Artisan: a skilled worker, a craftsman Harvest: the product or result of any action
The concept of the harvest, the cultivation of grains is significant to the respect of our artisan style process, an age old art of making wholesome and preservative free products exemplified by “Harvest Moon” turn-of- the-century print featured on our homepage. |
